S.K. Barua & Co. was established in February 1985 and Mr. Suhrid Kumar Barua FCA is the founder member of the firm. He worked in different senior positions of Govt. Projects before joining this firm. He was an Ex-member of Minimum Wage Board and Productivity Commission of Government of Bangladesh. During the last 40 years in the profession he worked as an statutory auditors & consultants in many Organizations under Sector Corporations, Boards, Banks & Financial Institutions, Foreign NGOs, Local Non-Government Organizations, Micro Credit Operations, Revolving Loan Fund Organizations, Development Financial Institutions, Charitable Institutions & Companies under Private Sectors.

Mr. Mohammad Anwarul Hoque FCA

Mr. Mohammad Anwarul Hoque FCA  worked in different multi national organizations before joining the firm. He worked in BNS Group of companies, GnG International Trading Ltd, Innovative Electric & Electronics Products Ltd as finance director. He has 21 years experience in in the field of accounting, auditing, RJSC, VAT and taxation. He is well conversant with latest accounting standards and auditing standards along with its interpretation, Income Tax Law, VAT, Register of Joint Stock Companies and Partnership, Securities Exchange Commission, Stock Exchange etc. He got licence as a VAT Consultant from National Board of Revenue (NBR). He successfully completed the training on “Anti Money Laundering and Terrorist Finance” organized by world bank, Public Finance Management from Planning Ministry of Govt. of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh, “Public sector Regulations & Public Procurement Rules” from engineering Staff College, Money Laundering and Legal Framework in Bangladesh from Police Staff College.

 

Mr. Pear Ali FCA

Mr. Pear Ali FCA worked in various field before joining the firm. He qualified from The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in the year 1979 under the articleship from Rayner Essex, Chartered Accountants in the year 1979 after qualification he left Rayner Essex joined Hughes Allen, Chartered Accountants, London, as an Assistant Manager Audit. Then he joined National Oil Corporation, Libya. He directly supervised works by multinational companies for the exploration of crude oil for Libya. Later acted as Senior Advisor for a renowned Cement Manufacturing Company in Bangladesh for about 21 years.  

He had been associated as a Partner and Proprietor of Baree Pear Khan, Chartered Accountants, Baree Pear Shafiq Khan, Chartered Accountants, Ahsan Zamir & Co. Chartered Accountants for long 37 years. During the long journey in the profession working as a statutory auditor & consultant in many Organizations such as private companies, INGO, NGOs, international agencies, government, and semi-government organization.

Md. Golam Mostafa FCA is a highly accomplished finance professional with a distinguished career in different National & Multinational conglomerates. As a Director at S. K. Barua & Co. a reputable firm of Chartered Accountants, he provides strategic financial advisory and audit services to a diverse clientele. With his extensive knowledge and expertise, he ensures compliance with financial regulations and delivers valuable insights to support business growth.

Mr. Mostafa has held several prominent leadership positions throughout his career. As the Director, Finance & Accounts at Aftab Bahumukhi Farms Limited, a subsidiary of Jahurul Islam Company, he oversees the financial operations and guides the company’s financial strategy. He has been instrumental in optimizing financial performance, implementing robust accounting systems, and ensuring effective cost management.

With an impressive track record in the corporate sector, Mr. Mostafa has served as the Chief Financial Officer at both Purbani Group and Maple Group. In these roles, he has been responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, Tax matters as well as managing the financial risk of the organizations. His strategic insights and financial acumen have contributed significantly to the growth and success of these groups.

Having a strong background in the telecommunications industry, Mr. Mostafa has also held key positions of different companies in the industry. He served as the National Manager for Credit & Collection at Warid Telecom International Ltd, he leads the credit risk management team and collection efforts on a national scale, ensuring timely payments and minimizing financial risk.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Mostafa served as the Manager of Credit Management at Robi Axiata (Bangladesh) Limited, formerly known as AKTEL. In this capacity, he played a pivotal role in formulating and implementing effective credit management strategies, streamlining credit assessment processes, and ensuring optimal cash flow management.

 

Mr. Mostafa is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and brings a wealth of financial expertise, leadership skills, and a strong commitment to excellence. His contributions to financial management and strategic decision-making have earned him a stellar reputation in the industry. He continues to enhance his professional skills through continuous learning and development, enabling him to stay at the forefront of financial best practices.
He pursued his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Accounting and Finance from Stamford University Bangladesh.
